Knit and Natter Group
The Knit and Natter group at St Bride’s has been keeping those needles clicking. The Knit and Natter group at St Bride’s, Hyndland is a drop-in weekly event suitable for beginners and experts alike. We are a welcoming group who are happy to share knitting and crochet skills. We run throughout the year.
Our aim, other than having fun and enjoying coffee and cake, is to knit or crochet garments for family, friends and charity.
Our drop in is on a Thursday between 12 noon and 2pm.

If anyone would like to donate wool, we would be happy to accept any left-over balls from any projects.
Our Beginnings
Around 2004/5 the Knit ‘n’ Natter group started by knitting baby garments for the OVC Committee of St Martins in the Veld, Johannesburg. Sylvia travelled twice a year taking much appreciated garments.
We also knitted hats for The Mission to Seafarers and Glasgow Street Pastors. Our thanks go especially to June, our “Hat-knitting Queen” and Elaine who started the group.
14th November 2015
To the Knitters of St Bride’s.
Sylvia has kindly delivered all your “works of love” to me. We on the Orphaned and Vulnerable Childrens’ Committee thank you so much for your kindness and labours of love.
The baby clothes are delivered to the Maternity units of various public hospitals, where social workers distribute the garments to the most needy.
We are grateful that these acts of charity find homes in South Africa.
God bless you all
Jane
